Women’s sports event 2022

According to a report by Women Sport Trust, value of Women’s Sport is set to
treble to £1BN by 2030. Women’s sports have remained in a back seat for quite a long time but the time is changing. 2022 is for Women’s sports.

Many events which are going to take place in 2022 are-

Commonwealth Games

Place & Time- Birmingham, England from July onwards

After it was confirmed that Women’s T20 Cricket, Beach Volleyball, and Para Table Tennis would be included in the next Commonwealth Games, it will be the largest program of female and para-sports in history.

Women’s Cricket World Cup

Place & time-  New Zealand in March and April 2022

Total 8 teams will compete.

Tik Tok Six Nations

Place & time- Multiple locations of the participating nation,started on 5th Feb

The Women’s Six Nations has a Title Partner in a landmark deal of 4 years, the championship is known as the TikTok Women’s Six Nations

Hockey World Cup

Place & time-Spain and the Netherlands, to be held from 1 to 17 July 2022

Africa is the most recent winner of the Africa Cup of Nations. China, India, Japan, and Korea are the four Asian teams that have qualified. Argentina, Canada, and Chile are the three American teams that have secured their spots in the prestigious tournament, with Australia and New Zealand rounding out the draw from Oceania.

BWB’s Women’s Premier League is the first para-sport professional league in the UK, and the first of its kind for women’s wheelchair basketball in the world.

WNBA 2022

The WNBA has announced a $75 million capital raise — the largest-ever for a women’s sports property.

It’s the first time the WNBA has raised money from investors, each of whom will receive equity in the league.
